Mineral makeup is the latest buzz word in the world of beauty. Most of us want to look good and use cosmetics regularly to enhance our face, hair and body. The trick is to first tap a small amount of powder into the lid of the jar, then swirl your brush in it, tap off the extra powder and then apply. A little powder covers the entire face but if you feel you need more then reapply in layers each time using very little powder and blending it well. You need the right brushes to apply mineral makeup correctly so initially for practise you can pick up the starter kit that comes along with the brushes.

The only complain people have against the mineral products is that they aren’t meant for dry and mature skins which lack moisture. To counter that you can mix the foundation powder with a light moisturizer and mix them together in the palm of your hand before application and then apply with your finger tips. The eye shadows too can be can be used as dry powders as well as applied wet when mixed lightly with water. Another thing to keep in mind is that the mineral foundations may not match all skin tones because they come in limited shades.

There are many companies which specialize in making mineral products.
Some of these are Urban Decay, Bare Escentuals, Dr Hauschka, Green People, Erth Minerals, Bare GLOW Minerals and Alima. Though are many other organizations including Revlon and L’Oreal that make mineral products, Bare Escentuals is one of the oldest and most popular amongst them all.
